Pros
Coworkers here are wonderful, I made some lifelong friends while working here. Relatively interesting workload and projects, good learning opportunities
Cons
Benefits package is subpar, 401k matching isn’t sufficient, it feels like working at a sales firm instead of an engineering firm because nothing else seems to matter besides profits and billable hours, we always seemed to be hitting our sales goals each quarter but never got any bonuses from it, corporate and CEO are out of touch, raises each year didn’t even keep up with inflation and/or cost of living (taking inflation into account, I made more when I started here right out of college than I did when I left in 2023), some of the PMs were great but some were awful, not taking staff opinions into account when pursuing new projects (some clients were horrendous to work with but we kept seeking projects with them anyways), being asked to work for free when projects were running low on budget (we had an awful contract with a client that we knew was going to cost us money, and were asked to travel to project sites 2+ hours away or complete project work “on our own time”)
