Pros

There were a few good people at this company who were great to have as coworkers. I received a paycheck.

Cons

Too much politics for such a small shop No pride in workmanship of products Disrespectful management Deeply rooted "go along to get along" culture Lack of employee appreciation A couple people in management will do anything (this includes unethical behavior) to get their way.

I'm sorry the job didn't work out as you planned. While we try to make it a great environment for everyone we know that not everyone enjoys working for a small company. Occasionally the wrong person ends up in the wrong job and when that happens we blame ourselves for not doing a better job during the interview process. I'm sorry and I hope you've found a better fit in your new job.

Worst company to work for!

Pros

Nothing to appreciate. An environment of distrust is no place to spend nearly eight hours a day. Is there anything positive about working for this next company? Probably not.

Cons

Job seekers should steer clear of this shady company.Don't get fooled by the reviews here. They required you to place a review here in Glass door and it should be a five star review or else they will also dismiss you like the rest of the employees without any warning. Good thing I'm no longer here so at least I can be honest about my worst experience here. First of this company never followed professional ethics. They gave fake promises, no salary increase, no appraisal and worst boss ever. They don't care about their people. They have fired a lot of good employees already. They have poor management, bullying staff, no proper training, communication is unprofessional & disrespectful, and unhappy attitude. The company has a bad reputation, different people give you different answers about job duties, there are no clear goals for you to work toward & ultimately leading to a confusing and disastrous job situation. Additionally, this company skirts overtime pay and they don't care if you're sick, you just gotta work for them. Im telling all the jobseekers "It’s not worth applying to this company."

I'm sorry you were disappointed as a Dickson employee and we wish you much better luck with your next venture. In the relatively short time I've been here, I've observed opportunities for improvement but not near the level of your Cons. We have a top notch Sales Training program based on the book CustomerCentric Selling (by Bosworth & Holland) using a local professional training firm -- every sales executive goes through this training upon hire and has subsequent follow-up sessions with the trainer. We are also working with a professional hiring and retention agency to roll-out an annual performance review program that includes a confidential interview 1-on-1 with the agency allowing employees to provide direct, and at times difficult, feedback to make us better. As to your claims about OT and other allegations, we had a Employment Lawyer review and update our Employee Handbook to ensure our policies are fair and consistent with employment best practices. We have rolled-out this updated Employee Handbook outlining policies to which we are legally bound to comply. All new employees are provided a copy along with an overview of our policies. We are not perfect, but we are continuously improving how we work together to help our Customers.

Pros

Good company for the people in the plant and those who've been here a while and will retire here. I feel bad for them. Co-workers were nice.

Cons

Most of the positive reviews are not real, obviously. Not evil, but dishonest. Comes from the top. Someone decided they could buy a company and have it run itself. Went from customer service to Inside Sales without proper structure and therefore remained glorified customer service. Commission promised, unreal. Job not as described. Lots of Fake ads to bring in new hires, esp. exploiting the young ones.

Yikes! This looks like a review for a totally different company. If you meant this review for us I'm sorry things didn't work out but you seem happy to have moved on so I'll take that as a good thing. Best of luck going forward.
