Pros

Since it is a startup, there is a lot of opportunity to learn, especially for interns or those at the early stage of their career. You get hands-on exposure to different aspects of work, which can add value to your skillset if you are patient enough.

Cons

No proper written policies exist; the company functions more like an unorganized shop than a professional IT firm. Extremely rigid about punctuality—being a few minutes late brings interruptions, but the extra hours you work are neither acknowledged nor compensated. Workplace culture encourages sycophancy. If you cannot flatter the senior management, survival becomes difficult. Office politics runs deep, even at the director level. Employees who are straightforward, hardworking, and ask for fair appraisals face constant fault-finding and even risk termination, regardless of their years of contribution. Appraisal processes are biased and face-driven. Decisions are not based on year-round performance but rather on favoritism and flattery. Often, appraisals are delayed by months with excuses like “complete this task, then we’ll sit.” Leaves, time, and attitude are closely monitored to penalize rather than support employees. The overall environment is extremely toxic, demotivating, and hostile to genuine talent.

Pros

You’ll master the art of sitting still for 8 straight hours — a true test of endurance. Great place to build patience, especially when waiting endlessly for your appraisal. If you enjoy being micromanaged, this is your paradise.

Cons

Nestled in the scenic chaos of Okhla Phase 3, the air smells of diesel and despair — truly an inspiring environment for innovation. The CEO delivers daily TED Talks on leadership, teamwork, and empowerment — followed immediately by micromanaging your every move. Miss your punch-in by five minutes? Expect a motivational session (aka interrogation). The CTO? Mostly around to nod and clap whenever the CEO breathes — a truly collaborative partnership. Appraisals here are like side quests from the CEO — complete his random “important” task, survive his mood swings, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll unlock a 5% raise (after six months of follow-ups and “we’ll see”). The work structure is pure chaos. Decisions follow moods, mistakes are live entertainment, and collaboration has been replaced by a team sport called fear. Thrives on control, kills creativity, and turns motivation into a distant memory. Perfect for the desperate — anyone with talent won’t survive long.

Pros

Free lunch provided (though quality is poor) Initial phase seems promising Small team means exposure to various tasks

Cons

Management and Leadership: Leadership makes decisions without consulting the technical team. Limited technical knowledge but insists on making technology decisions, especially regarding new trends like AI. Work-Life Balance: Strict 8-9 hour office requirements with no remote work options. Leave requests require 15 days advance notice with unpredictable approval. Pressure to be available 24x7 under the guise of "family culture." Growth and Learning: Limited professional development opportunities. No training budget allocated. High senior developer turnover leaves junior staff handling complex responsibilities. Focus remains on legacy systems rather than modern technologies. Company Culture: Office politics are common. Management style tends to create division among team members. Free lunch quality is poor, yet employees are expected to show appreciation. Difficult to provide honest feedback during team meetings about realistic timelines. Compensation: Salary payments are frequently delayed by 2-3 weeks. Annual reviews result in minimal increments (5-10%) regardless of individual performance. HR Department: HR has limited authority in decision-making processes. Most decisions are centralized with leadership, reducing HR effectiveness. Final Advice: The honeymoon period lasts about 2-3 weeks before challenges become apparent. Consider other opportunities that prioritize employee well-being and professional growth. Would I recommend? No.
