      Pros

      Always nice eager new people joining, though, 6 months later they are disillusioned and looking for an exit. Great office space.

      Cons

      The first months you are the best thing since sliced bread, soon as you hit a bad patch you are ruthlessly out the door, no allowance for your previous hard work or contribution leading to a revolving door type very high staff turnover. Management is glossy on the outside but under the surface weak and lacking any real talent.

      Saying you are 'Innovative and special' does not make it so

      Pros

      Nice office, some pleasant people, some attempt to provide rewards other than salary. Some awareness within lower management that the working hours / company culture are unhealthy.

      Cons

      Distology believes that it is 'different and special'. It thinks that it is doing something important and worthwhile. However, it does not feel the need to justify how this is the case, or to actually do anything different, special or worthwhile. Distology is a business that wants to get as much out of you as it can - that's fine, lots of businesses treat their staff this way. However, they don't all claim to be a special, innovative place while doing it. Distology does not tolerate questioning how the company is actually 'special' or 'different'. If it becomes known that you think it's just another company, you will be forced out quickly. Consider how much conformity you are comfortable with.

      Thank you for taking the time to write the review and I’m sorry that you don’t feel our current benefit offering or working arrangements met your needs or was at a suitable level. Please consider however how quickly the business is growing and developing and has even changed over the past 12 months. In just 1 year we have reduced the working hours, introduced flexible and hybrid working, significantly increased the holiday allowance structure including the amount of annual leave, being able to buy and sell holidays, birthdays off, introduced service awards, given everyone in the business life cover and income protection plans. We are actively working on development plans for everyone in the company. We will continue to listen and are dedicated to improving our benefits offering to the team and are in the process of developing it further this year.
