Pros

It's good being able to build a product that helps people stay healthy. There's too much silly technology built in the Bay Area. We've been able to attract some strong talent in the past year.

Cons

Motivation. What is it? It's nowhere to be found at DoD. The company just raised a round, but mission has clearly eroded, and I'm afraid my stock isn't as valuable as what it used to be. Where's my raise? There is zero vision on where to take the product or what to focus on. Eng seems dead in the water with ridiculous amounts of tech debt, and key engineers have been leaving us in the past few weeks. There is zero strategy on how to position the company to hire great people to work with. My team dissolving - more are bound to leave, just like the doctors. Nothing will be built here and we just raised funding. Nothing will be built because there are no backend or frontend resources. And we cant seem replace the folks who left. Marketing is running an unguided circus with failing campaigns, and in general, leadership is nowhere to be found. Culture has reached stale levels. If it wasn't for a handful of positive employees, there would be no culture whatsoever. It's quiet during lunches. People are severely undervalued. Leadership runs meetings for the sake of running meetings. To make sure they check em off so they can become eligible for bonuses.
