I worked at Dow Jones full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Got to work with latest technologies, tech leads were major proponents in bringing out the best of our abilities where possible.

    Cons

Glasgow office felt somewhat disconnected from the rest of the company. Time zones are a factor of course, but lots of red tape internally prevented us from working closely with developers/projects outwith our location. No dedicated product owner, so there was a major delay/disconnect on figuring out what we were developing was what the business really wanted at the time.

I have been working at Dow Jones full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

We work in a fantastic building with great facilities. We have numerous internal resource groups for women, parents, BAME employees, environmentalists. Pay is good and flexible working is offered.

    Cons

It seems difficult to move from middle management to senior level. The company has undergone a lot of restructuring and a lot of new appointments are senior people brought in from outside.

I have been working at Dow Jones full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great atmosphere and corporate culture. Plenty of employee resources, whatever your needs. Great location by London Bridge.

    Cons

London is a satellite HQ to the New York office and that can really be felt at times. Not a lot of room for professional development or career progression in EMEA. A lot of reorgs and restructures that affect junior employees' development.

A lot of young people, so it was fun and vibrant.

    Cons

Stressful, reward not worth the effort.
