      Once a great place to work, now on life support

      Pros

      Despite everything that has changed (for the worst) in recent years, I can definitely say the quality of the staff is still very good. There are a lot of really talented and hard working people at DrFirst. Early release Fridays are nice, when you're not too busy to take them. Work-life balance is better than in the past, probably because there's no more new product cycles. Can't think of anything else.

      Cons

      Rather than list all the ways this used to be a good and sometimes great place to work and now is not, I'll just say, I hope the new CEO can lead us into a sale that benefits most, if not all of the remaining staff.

      Lots of growing pains - awaiting acquisition

      Pros

      Proven technologies but the market is super competitive with AI and new innovation.

      Cons

      The company is like a scorpion which stings itself with its own tail. Leaders which should have been given severance plans as the company grew are halting the growth. They are churning and burning.

      A great place to work that continues to get better

      Pros

      Incredibly intelligent leadership. Inspiring vision for the future. Meaningful and diverse work that has a positive impact on healthcare. Wonderful coworkers.

      Cons

      Remote work environment can be challenging - harder to make connections with team members outside your scope when not walking by people’s desks, etc.
