Pros

Pay is fine, fully remote option, standard benefits.

Cons

Leadership. Your manager will say "40" hours a week but will expect you to do 60 hrs of workload. They also don't use the Agile system the way it's supposed to be used. They literally have a dashboard that tracks your jira points and shame you for not doing enough compared to the top performer.

Pros

met a lot of people who were nice and seemed to care since it's a fully remote setting.

Cons

Constantly in limbo in regards to your schedule. You find out a week before the end of the month what hours you will be working, every single month no matter how long you have been working there. Nepotism is huge here and everyone knows somebody when they are getting promoted and hired. There are a few departments that have three coworkers that are family, pretty sure it explains itself. As well as firing people left and right out of the blue. The company cleared the whole implementation department and Leaders and Directors that have been there for years. I have seen coworkers become sheeps in regards to the growth aspect and do whatever they can to move up. Pay is super low compared to the industry average. The company has probably got rid of over 200 employees since I have been working here. Email staff to let them know people were let go due to "individual performance" and not business-related reasons. False hope in regards to moving up and small annual raises. Seeing great coworkers go weekly due to better opportunities since there is no communication at all between Managers and their staff. Would not recommend it to anyone that believes they owe themselves a lot and want to strive for a lot. Not a lot of growth opportunities. If fully remote and a paycheck is what you want, this is the place. If you are looking for a place where you can easily approach your leaders, don't work here. Coworkers let go for not meeting metrics that in no way shape and form correlate with the job performed.

Pros

Pros: 1. Remote Work: One of the standout features of this company is the ability to work remotely. This flexibility allows for a better work-life balance and the convenience of working from anywhere. 2. Competitive Compensation: The salary and benefits offered are quite competitive, making it an attractive option for potential employees. 3. Small Company Environment: Being part of a smaller team fosters a collaborative atmosphere where it's easy to take on various tasks. This setup accelerates the learning process and allows employees to quickly develop new skills.

Cons

1. Toxic Work Environment: Unfortunately, the work culture can be quite toxic. This creates a challenging atmosphere that can affect morale and productivity. 2. Incompetent Managers: Leadership often lacks the necessary skills to effectively manage teams and guide employees, leading to frustration and confusion. 3. Limited Growth Opportunities: There is little room for professional growth or upward mobility, which can be discouraging for those looking to advance their careers. 4. Lack of Training and Documentation: New employees may struggle due to insufficient training resources and a lack of documentation, making it difficult to navigate roles and responsibilities effectively.

Pros

I've been with DrFirst as a Tier 1 Technical Support agent since November 2023 and I can confidently say it's been a positive experience overall. DrFirst's commitment to being a "RemoteFirst" company was a big deciding factor in accepting my job with DrFirst, as I find that working remotely allows me to have a better work-life balance. DrFirst excels in creating a remote-first environment that truly supports its employees by continuing to invest in remote-friendly tools and resources that enhance communication and collaboration. The training provided is thorough and prepares you well for handling various provider issues related to their e-prescribing. The team environment is supportive, with colleagues and managers who genuinely care about your success and growth within the company. Team members are always willing to help, and there's a strong sense of camaraderie among colleagues. The work culture at DrFirst is collaborative and encouraging. Managers are approachable and provide constructive feedback to help you improve. I've never feel hesitant to ask questions or seek guidance, which has been crucial in being successful in my role.

Cons

One of the challenges of working at DrFirst is navigating across different time zones, as DrFirst has employees from Maine to California and even Hawaii. However, this is easily remedied by running a dual clock on my phone and computer.
