Pros

They have really talented engineering teams...

Cons

People who have been with the company for 5+ year run the show here, anyone who does not align with them are almost always set o fail. If you are audacious and want to take big bets - this is *not* the place. They have 5 company values which are good if followed throughout the company. If a senior director of engineering asks ICs not to share their opinion because they don't only have few years of experience - you know the company is headed in a wrong direction.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review and share your thoughts. It’s unfortunate to hear that you witnessed people’s opinions not being valued. At Dropbox, we definitely value feedback, and see it as a gift. Our leadership team is committed to getting feedback and opinions from everyone and are actively working to encourage people to offer feedback both immediately and frequently. It may not change overnight, but it is something that we are working on. If you have any suggestions feel free to reach out at talent-feedback@dropbox.com.

Pros

Culture is exemplary, lots of perks and benefits as they try to compete with Google’s benefits package. Hack week is especially fun.

Cons

Strategic enterprise was an overshoot. No real ROI or compelling event meant entire teams were worked to the bone with little result.

Pros

Best benefits package ever Great London office, free drinks, food, ping-pong, PS2, nerf guns etc Big budget for work hardware and software with great IT support Fantastic on-boarding in Dublin Generally nice people Company strived to create a friendly environment

Cons

Applied for Enterprise Account Strategist (ISR) role, which on paper seemed interesting and broad (mix of new business and working with accounts), in reality it was a pure cold/warm calling and emailing role. Initially booking x new meetings a week then increased to x meetings. The weekly team catch-up was simply 'have you got your x meetings'?, and an earful if someone hadn't. The biz dev and sales 'strategy' worked well for a time but clearly wasn't sustainable, though Head of Biz Dev was having none of it. I left at the end of probation which was justified as I later heard nearly the entire sales team had been offloaded. As you might expect with a West Coast US tech firm in London, there was a big left-wing political bias. UK country Manager wanted to make a public company statement in support of remaining in the EU, which made me feel marginalised.

Equally, we appreciate all constructive feedback and are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your time with us. We’ve shared your feedback with the HRBP for EMEA sales, so they are aware.
