Severely lacking in effective leadership

Pros

- Pros is a bit of a stretch, but the work is actually quite interesting and you do get to work with some high profile clients. - There are some great people that work here, unfortunately they aren't in the positions to make any kind of effective change within the business.

Cons

- High turnover of staff - a testament to the working environment. - Large numbers of unappreciated and demotivated staff. - Negative work culture fostered by senior leadership. The reaction to a downturn in company performance seems to have to been to remove the minimal perks there were to the job. - Lack of leadership from the senior positions in the company, there is very little attempt to engage with team members on a human level or create a sense of direction, enthusiasm or teamwork. - No real HR or personnel to go to any issues with, there is a big barrier up in communication or being able to communicate problems to the correct people. Any kind of HR or personnel issue is normally dealt with in the worst possible way and confidentiality is not a word I'd associate with the company or their "processes". Usually this tends to kill morale and further alienate and already deflated workforce. - Severe lack of benefits to the job, the bare minimum of everything - holidays (20 as per legal minimum, but 3 compulsory over Christmas - so 17 in reality), pension (a whopping 2%), general job appreciation. - Huge disconnect between senior leadership and the rest of the company, don't expect any kind of acknowledgement on a daily basis or to be treated with the common courtesy you'd expect as standard. - Complete lack of consistency in salaries and job titles across the company - there are some very good people on low salaries performing at a job level well above their pay grade. - Not a lot of respect for the concept of work-life balance, be expected to be up early to answer your phone and stay up-late (sometimes overnight) to monitor workloads etc. with no time in-lieu or chance to make any hours back. Normally I think appreciation would suffice in this, as this is the stark reality of a lot of jobs, but even that can't be achieved. - Be expected to be treated like a school child when it comes to requesting absence or holidays, there is no scope for taking an odd hour here or there to take care of anything personal, absences can only be requested in half or full days, which with only 17 days of holiday to play with is not something that gives you much flexibility. - No other perks, only expect a bonus if you're a company favourite (seemingly nothing to do with account performance or job performance), expect other social activities (the 1 Christmas party a year) to be organised on a shoestring and all very last minute. The social side to the job is made by the people who work there, nothing is organised by the company in the way of team building etc.

Pros

I waited a long time for a positive, still looking for one

Cons

Management full of bullies. They talk behind your back, they’re ungrateful, they’re unprofessional, they abuse their power and force you to work overtime. Worst people I’ve ever worked with. No willingness to learn from their mistakes. 5 people have resigned in 2 months, what does that tell you?

Pros

Great client and contractors to work with

Cons

- Do not expect too much support with anything - Professional communication with line manager or the head of the office does not exist - Good people are being taken advantage of - Sometimes you don’t get paid on-time - Pandemic has been using as an excuse to pay you part-time but still making you work overtime - Senior management are selfish and careless with employee’s mentality and health - Lack of trust - Terrible micro-management
