Acquired by Opentext so I guess bigger opp and brand name now. But not so important to them. The least cared about pillar.

Cons

Focus on US more than UK business. Hard sell given the outdated tech. Not been updated for 10 years only minor tweaks. Revenues declining because of this.

Pros

As a financial analyst, the pay was above industry average. Standard benefits are included in the offer and the personnel you are surrounded with are funny, friendly and are devoted to working completely and accurately to the best of their ability. The accounting team is very knowledgeable and excellent at doing their duties.

Cons

Unfortunately, there are no faces of color in management. Most employees that are promoted are promoted via internal politics and the entire company functions in something of a fish bowl. Managers do not readily share information nor devote much time to developing or grooming their subordinates to move on. There is no career pathing and the "good old boy network" takes care of their on. Upper management is unprofessional and often degrading to employees.

Easylink was a great place to work.....until the acquisition.....

Great people, most managers work with employees to ensure a good home/work balance.

Cons

Acquisition by Open Text changed atmosphere a great deal. What used to me more of a teamwork environment has changed to everyone looking out for themselves. Can't blame anyone--no one is looking out for the former Easylink folks--they are all on their own. OT will probably leave Easylink to be its own business unit, but that means no career path for employees. No upward mobility.
