Pros

- Talented and nice employees - Made some friends here - A learning experience

Cons

- Lack of consideration for work/ life balance - Culture of workaholism driven from the top down - Stressful and demanding at times with a lack of consideration on how business and project decisions effect staff wellbeing - Intense place to work, not particularly fun Senior management style: ego-driven, controlling, hyper-competitive, arrogant - Staff lack ownership of their own work, senior management tend to micro manage and take credit for others work - Staff and company resources are used to promote and forward the career of management - staff get little opportunity for growth and self-development - No HR structure in place, not really operating like a proper company despite its size - Hierarchical and autocratic culture - Poor listening skills from senior mangement - Project processes lack clarity and integrity - Project ambitions bite off way more than they can chew, over-delivery and operating in areas that are not key competencies is not uncommon - Benefits package not competitive with the market

Pros

+ Well designed work space + Some very talented and hard working staff

Cons

+ Over-emphasis on ‘productizing’ and selling Eight Inc’s process at the expense of a stronger focus on the work, the end users experience of it and the tangible impact on client businesses + Unnecessarily long Keynote presentations wear clients and employees out + Controlling Managing Principal contributes to low job satisfaction + Discussion of operations dominates weekly meetings but the opportunity to build employee morale through socializing direction of business is missed. Employees have little understanding of what they are part of. Managing Principal over reliance on Slack for communication. + Apple store credentials old, Eight Inc still strongest for environment design, less evidence of true experience design. Confused identity of business. + Poor record of people skills in past London upper management and current Managing Principal.

Studios from around the world work together Resourcing system is very efficient enabling anyone on the project to track time spent, resource and project milestones Very smart people
