Pros
You'll be part of a smaller, tight knit team and get to meet some real outliers as far as performance and personality (in a good way). The people that work here have talent and you can learn a lot from them.
This was my first software dev job and I couldn't have asked for a more ideal environment in which to grow. As a dev, the atmosphere and projects changed just often enough that you couldn't get bored (this was pre-covid). Often we would work in the office, but other stretches we would work at a client’s office alongside their developers. These varied experiences will suit you well down the road (communication abilities and being able to see how others operate).
When I was there they housed a wide array of skill levels as far as devs. I was among the most junior, but they also had talented mid and senior level devs (excellent to learn from and bounce occasional questions off of), as well as a mystical wizard who had negotiated 100% work from home well before anyone heard of COVID 19.
Very quickly it really does feel like a family, even for myself who at the time was somewhat introverted. The people were kind and it's just a nice environment that, in my case, I found myself missing after leaving.
Cons
Looking back, I genuinely can't think of any, especially it being my first exposure into the industry.
