The executive team is supportive of their employees whether it would be: pitching new ideas, social justice discussions, or developing new processes. The company and the colleagues I worked with were extremely agile and open to adopting new ideas and processes as necessary for the company’s growth. I felt truly supported and empowered in my role to help the team grow and scale at a rapid pace. The culture is where this team truly shines, the employees all are willing to participate and are all passionate in what they are building. There were times when the team was met with difficult deadlines but the executive team did a great job of providing time off for employees that put in long hours for projects. I felt like my work and effort was appreciated and recognized as a valuable asset to the company. Especially in a remote working environment with distributed teams, the management team throws virtual events to encourage a culture of camaraderie among the employees. The management team fosters a culture of transparency and I found it valuable as an employee to have visibility into company strategy, business model, and operational overhead. It provided me with a sense of relief knowing the state of affairs at the company and visibility into funding rounds. It is quite challenging building a consumer product from prototype through mass production, but I find that it is a great place for someone who is agile and willing to learn. The company is building cutting edge technology and I cannot wait to see how they will thrive in the years to come! I would work for this company again in a heartbeat if the opportunity presented itself again.
