      Good place for work life balance - Engineer AbbVie Employee Review

      Pros

      Work is relatively easy as many people work or focus on small or same thing, work life balance, slower pace. Good annual bonus.

      Cons

      Relationship oriented rather than result oriented in appraising talents, competent talents tend to leave the company over time. Health care benefits are rather lacking and not improving from year to year. Annual salary increment is rather low compared to industry, but compensated with good yearly bonus. Manufacturing is not cost effective and come with lots of wastage, lack of continuous improvement, supply chain is rather slower and expensive compared to same industry.

      Pros

      I learned a lot while working this job. The systems like Veeva and Workfront were difficult to learn at first, but once I got the hang of them it was great. There were a lot of great people working around me that wanted to see me succeed.

      Cons

      Working as a contract worker had it's cons. At times, it felt like I was a little bit of an afterthought in the company with some superiors because I was not a full time employee. Communication suffered at times as well.
