Pros
- Not too much pressure to hit targets meaning you don't have to push people into sales, this also gives more time to speak to the customers and gain a better understanding of their needs without always looking for an 'in' to sell them something -which in turn means customers tend to trust you (and your advice) more - time given to train properly and adequate pressure to keep up with online learning etc - flexible holiday allocation
Cons
- no sick pay for first 3 days off - opticians are sometimes moved to another practice without much notice meaning staff have to call all customers booked in to that day and move them - be prepared for some not very happy phone calls!
