Pros

Excellent work-life balance (extremely depends on your department/manager), paid training opportunities, equitable (big focus on diversity & inclusion, neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+ friendly, BIPOC friendly), fun (frequent team/department events). Paid vacation, sick days, personal days, and decent amounts therein. The work/projects are meaningful and generally run by extremely competent disciplinary teams. There are many mentorship/peer learning opportunities and learning is actively encouraged. Big focus on mental/physical health as well (great benefits). Team vibe is super fun, trusting and friendly.

Cons

It's a bank so can be extremely political/bureaucratic, nepotism definitely rears its head here, and sometimes bullies are protected and allowed to thrive because they have friends who have a lot of power. Because of many layers of security/legal/risk, the bank can be slow to act and adopt latest industry best practices, which can be frustrating to people who crave innovation and change.
