Pros
- There are some great people at Capgemini Consulting typically they only last about 8 months though - North America is small so you will be driving the projects even as a consultant and senior consultant - Great place to start your career before you move on to a good company - Great opportunities to learn on the job because you will be understaffed and working 60 hours a week - Lots of exposure to Principals and VPs
Cons
- Very poor people development (performance review [antiquated, based on metrics not in your control, key skills not in evaluated: leadership, mentoring, teamwork], feedback [doesn't exist], mentoring [only if you are lucky enough to have a good mentor], career advancement [nobody good stays very long] [promotion based on “round tables” not tangible performance information], training [very little formal training]) - Management is not focused on building the brand - Poor knowledge management - Little formal methodology, wheel reinvented every project - Attrition at both the top and bottom of the pyramid significantly effects growth, morale, and more significantly ability to deliver - Poor leadership
