Pros

Great benefits and overall culture is client oriented. Colleagues are generally helpful and pleasant to work with.

Cons

As the corporation grows larger, some department heads are either poorly trained (don’t know the job grade structure) or simply cutting corners on promoting and paying their top performers fairly. Seeing more often managers ask top performers to lead a team without paying them more or on track for a promotion. Manipulative tactics to talk their employees into believing they are given an opportunity to learn to lead, but in reality they just pile on more responsibilities (also alleviate work load of MDs) and save $$$ on compensating for the work the employees perform.

Pros

Great clients, decent benefits, acceptable pay, excellent training for when you move on.

Cons

Pay below competitors, constant inbound calls, stringent metrics that tighten annually, middle-of-the-road work-life balance. Schwab used to have great culture, but it becomes more "corporate" every year and with every new CEO. The "Executive Council" is wildly out of touch with frontline employees and needs to stop passing the buck of employee dissatisfaction into the managers.
