Pros
- They have been growing so the name means something. - Some of the partners are very smart
Cons
- Bad product - the partners are encouraged to take on so much work that they give a terrible product. Clients complained all the time that no partner ever answered their emails or calls. This doesn’t make you feel proud of where you work. You need to encourage a best in class product before pushing more clients on everyone. - No one cares about anyone. Literally you are just a number to them - No culture. This firm is a roll up of dozens of firms with different cultures. - All of the partners are old school and think they are the boss because they were the boss at their little fiefdoms before merging there firms in - CEO is very aggressive and pits all the offices against each other. Everyone is scared of him and this creates a cutthroat environment - No minorities in leadership - Everyone works way too hard. - Dress code isn’t bad, but a lot of the partners wear suits and thus many mid level and lower level people feel they need to wear suits - It’s business first, people second. They don’t even try to make you feel special. You are only a billable hour. - Many managers and partners are very old and set in their ways. It can be depressing as someone in your 20s seeing people top out in their careers at 32. - Unless you merge your practice in, it will be tough to become partner.
