The decision makers in this organization are full of contradictions. They tout work life balance, but that only applies to managers. People get praised and promoted for doing the bare minimum. There are people who think they can treat their colleagues any kind of way, disrespectful to say the least. They won’t get reprimanded because these people have some sort of strange clout within the organization.
Now for the biggest issue: COVID 19 vaccine mandate. Leadership decided to mandate that employees get vaccinated by October 18th, else their employment is TERMINATED. This was announced prior to the president’s request. They claim they want to do their part to stop the spread of covid, when they really just want people to come back to the office and get back to normal. Newsflash: Things won’t be “normal” any time soon. The best way for you to help stop the spread without stooping to coercion is to continue working remotely. They claim to care so much about their employees and their community, but are adding to the unemployment rate. They claim their decision is not about money, but offered no severance. They didn’t offer employees a portion of their bonus after working for 9-10 months out of one of their best years yet. All this is happening after employing an EXCESSIVE amount of offshore resources.
