Pros

Forward-thinking major French energy company with focus on the energy transition, and an internal culture that embraces inclusion and camaraderie. Work life balance is much better than at many other energy companies.

Cons

Like any major European company, policy and protocol heavy culture exists. Company is working to improve corporate communication. M&A integration and reorgs are strung out a bit, causing confusion and a false sense that new employees can continue their old ways of working - the assumption is that a "light touch" integration is best, when it would be better to go ahead and bring new employees into our culture, policies and procedures faster and more cleanly/clearly. While the results may not be as clean and effective as possible, the intentions come from a "good place" with genuine concern about the new employees.

Pros

The work can be challenging but also fulfilling at the same time and many opportunities and resources to learn. The pay and benefits are a little above average.

Cons

The culture has adversely changed where it used to be cooperative but now it is more cut-throat and many things are not communicated properly and an imbalance of responsibility and accountability which is causing conflict. There are many "exceptions".
