Pros

There are pockets of enjoyment where fun activities take place aimed at distracting the workforce from the treacherous day to day roles and constant change. The people are generally excellent and very friendly / approachable.

Cons

The building is simply not fit for purpose. The lifts were refurbished and still break every day. The canteen is inadequate. The office temperature is sometimes so cold you can see your own breath, or so hot that you need a fan. The workload and expectations are completely unreasonable with senior management having no grasp as to what the immediate priorities are. As such, too much is attempted to be delivered at once invariably leading to mistakes being made. After this, senior management wonder my colleague engagement is so low. It's so low as the workload and demand for change is simply way too big! When positive change is on the agenda, it invariably gets stripped so far back and value engineered that it ends up being no better than what was originally there! The culture of revenue over service is more alive than ever.

Pros

Decent salary & benefits, monthly no internal meeting days

Cons

Friendly reminder that HR does not care about you. They care about staff with seniority, whom they will allow to retaliate despite that being against company policies. Think twice about reporting the higher ups because it will come back to haunt you, guaranteed. Also, AI is the only thing that matters anymore. Watching the volume of once-impressive colleagues become so single and simple minded through constant AI usage is not only disappointing but genuinely alarming. Thinking for oneself is no longer the standard, it seems, and speaking against such unfettered use of AI in all things will get you professionally ostracized.
