Pros

In 4 years I received 3 promotions, got RSUs, and yearly salary increases. They sent me on an international all expenses paid trip with my family for doing outstanding work. My time is extremely flexible, and they pay me to ride my bike to work instead of driving. F5 is a company that puts some effort behind their belief that their employees matter, from very flexible about work hours, to pay, to matching 401k contributions, great health coverage, and good salary. Keeping a good work/life balance is not penalized, even implicitly. Promotion from within is very common, and working your way up from the starting position is absolutely achievable.

Cons

Because there are a lot of smart people, sometimes it's hard to get cross-organizational change to happen, as everyone has a good reason for their own agenda.

We have formed a Director Team with Manny Rivelo as the EVP sponsor. One of the top priorities is to develop opportunities for collaboration across functions. If you have any project ideas, please let the Director of your group know so that they can bring it to the team. Thanks for your comments!

Pros

* I enjoyed the collaborative team culture. Everyone was supportive and willing to help each other. * The work-life balance was good, and the overall working environment was relatively low stress. * I had opportunities to work on large-scale enterprise products and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Cons

* One area I felt could be improved was compensation growth. As my responsibilities and technical skills expanded, I was looking for opportunities that offered stronger career and compensation progression.

Pros

Great benefits, wellness and mental health considerations.

Cons

Organization seems to be influx about where they are heading. Makes it hard to create goals for the entire org and get proper direction.
