Pros

Metavante CEO appointed to FIS CEO when the companies merged. He seems to be making an effort to change the culture. I hope that he stays long enough to accomplish the job.

Cons

Highly political in the worst sense of the word. If I had to characterize the culture I'd say that it's a Culture of Mistrust. No team work or team spirit. Employees strictly watch out for themselves. Since there is little, if any, recognition for a job well done, employees have learned to play the game of "I'll make you look bad so that I look good"

Pros

Most colleagues are well intentioned, but stretched beyond the max.

Cons

After filing for FMLA, my “leader” encouraged me not to involve HR in the future. The whole point of FMLA is job protection. Him making this suggestion, at best, seems highly unethical and potentially illegal. Some leaders are good with people. Others are more techno sound. The ones that can effectively do both are let go. It makes no sense and the company offers little transparency.
