Pros

The individual people who actually deliver client value are incredible.

Cons

Management & Leadership often discourage value delivery in the shortest time, by introducing more stage-gates & process, delaying decisions, & focusing on metrics (to the detriment of behaviors). Those same managers & leaders are often mediocre at providing inspirational vision & motivation. Top talent is escorted out the door through relentless layoffs or demotivational behaviors from middle level mgmt.

Pros

Most colleagues are well intentioned, but stretched beyond the max.

Cons

After filing for FMLA, my “leader” encouraged me not to involve HR in the future. The whole point of FMLA is job protection. Him making this suggestion, at best, seems highly unethical and potentially illegal. Some leaders are good with people. Others are more techno sound. The ones that can effectively do both are let go. It makes no sense and the company offers little transparency.
