Pros
Flexible WFH / Hybrid work schedule. Great work-life balance. Rarely worked after 5PM and never worked weekens or holidays. They do awlays respect our PTO, as well, I will be honest about that.
Cons
Professional consulting industry, especially the large-cap 'Big 4' (KPMG, EY, PwC, Deloitte) and mid-cap firms, have been facing massive financial headwinds the past few years due to clients assessing their approach for the need of these services in addition to the AI boom. Personally and professionally speaking, I'd recommend avoiding the professional consulting services industry altogether unless you have an impressive book of business, a healthy opportunity pipeline, and sadly--favored within the company at which you are pursuing employment. I was "reassigned" to three different supervisors in a matter of a year due to corporate restructure, folks kept getting let go. I was later asked to determine the "weakest link" on my team, which resulted in the company eliminating the professionals role. I would've preferred the opportunity to implement a professional development plan and my employee was robbed of that chance, which I thought the individual deserved.
