Pros
Pretty good 401k options. Interactive's Indy site has a wonderful onsite clinic. Most people you would work with are top of their class and willing to assist however they can. Most engineering and operations employees are very passionate (especially the Interactive people).
Cons
Very little transparency on what direction the company is going. Upper management will talk about how well the company is doing and how bright the outlook is, and follow up with layoffs, hiring freezes, and little to no compensation raises. Merger could have been handled significantly better. FUD is not being managed appropriately, especially due to the above point. It feels like mid to upper management is very fragmented. Decisions will come down to take a team in one direction but then doesn't have any follow through. Worst case, the decision is undone and/or redone again which causes more confusion. Open Time Off still has limits enforced by an individual's manager, which means one team could get 3 weeks when another could get 8. It also means that there's no payout if you leave the company. It also sort of makes you feel guilty taking a mental break day. It feels like Genesys bought Interactive for the awesome work we were doing, so they could learn how to be awesome as well. Instead of learning from us, they're trying to turn us into them. InIn wasn't perfect, but we had a good thing going that is at risk of being lost.
