In April a directive came from our CEO to return to 5 days in the office, which has been implemented for two weeks now. This outdated model goes against our own research, has removed the last glimmer of a work life balance for many, and is already causing issues with retention and burn out.
The path for progression is unclear, salary benchmarking and visibility is poor. Gensler follows the low salary trend, wide spread throughout the design industry.
This is not a place for ‘wallflowers’. Those that shout the loudest are rewarded, while hard working quieter individuals are often overlooked.
