Pros

The benefits are great, the culture and internal work life balance are great, free food and drinks every once in a while, love the PTO policy, the ability to advance quick to another team function within your department.

Cons

Communication is terrible, front line has no idea that changes happen until the day off, constant changes to policy that affect front line are not discussed with front line, there is a lot of unknown going on, which is fair but for a billion dollar company it is discouraging to see.

Groupon Response

Thanks for your feedback and we’re happy to hear that you feel the benefits, culture, and work/life balance at Groupon are great! But we’re sorry you don’t feel that frontline communication is one of our strengths. It’s indeed challenging as a global company to ensure that we’re communicating in the most effective way possible, so we understand the frustration. We’re working on streamlining both inter- and intra-departmental communication in a variety of ways, from better utilization of our company intranet, encouraging departments to adopt tools such as scrums or team-focused chat rooms, and leveraging feedback from our monthly all-company employee satisfaction survey.

Pros

Learned a great deal here. My first big guy job and the responsibilities kept me focused and motivated. I grew a lot as a person at Groupon as well

Cons

Not many cons. People are really cool.

Pros

Gaining experience targeting multiple industries

Cons

Management doesn’t care about you. Unrealistic goals. Everyone at 30-40% of quota. Complicated quota attainment system. Your job is to ask for 70% of margins for small businesses that have only 10-15% margin budgets
