Script like sales procedures: you can sense what type of a customer you are dealing with... not every customer is suitable for an upsell, not every customer wants to know how the chocolate was made as long as it tastes nice.. (they don't all want a lesson) and not every customer wants a chat or to be complemented on their shoes.. - In other jobs we have learnt lots about 'reading' customers wheras here a one size fits all was given which you have to stick to Constant multiple targets with no incentive yet hard sell not permitted/although it is encouraged FREEZING (aha they have to chill the store so nothing melts) Constant email list targets/mailer targets Cleaning ice cream machine is frustrating if your store has one 3 late/sickness policy on 3 month probation which is stupid when you could be ill for 3 days or have problems on public transport Cascade system used for shifts is annoying
