Pros
1. Extremely dedicated HR team, in my 10+ years of work experience working with various multinational companies, I have never seen a more dedicated and friendly HR team as I came to know one exists in IBM CIC Wrocław. They were always available for assistance throughout the year long process and through very difficult times of COVID crisis. (really exceptional job). 2. Amazing team of technical staff, (this obviously depends on the team that a person joins in to), as far as I can say my team was very welcoming and extremely supportive. They provided all possible help to me and brought me up to speed on anything that was required to work and provide great delivery to the customer. 3. Great manager (this is again going to vary from person to person) but as far as my manager is concerned, he is the most level minded person and an exceptional character, he literally makes all possible efforts to make the team work to the best of their abilities, I have never come across a manager with such exceptional capabilities. He a real gem in this IT world where you can really have terrifying experiences with your managers (which is more likely to happen). 4. An infinite learning opportunity. Literally the biggest benefit of working at IBM is the immensely massive source of learning. And now thanks to IBM's partnership with udemy the massively large source has become even more mega. 5. Work life balance, for all those people who are looking for balancing their work and personal life. It is really a great place that affords you all that liberty.
Cons
1. Uncertainty of company structure due to new announcement of "NewCo" spin off. 2. Lots of possible lay-offs and cost cutting (this is not new IBM has always found ways to do that). 3. Bureaucratic management structure , takes time to process anything , hence things move slowly which can be frustrating at times. (But hopefully that may change if one thing is to improve with "NewCo" spin off) 4. Salaries are not competitive compared to rest of the market players, (IBMers are never happy with their salary compensation and hikes but that has always been the fact historically, people work here not for the money , but for the joy of the technology and for the learning and growth).
