Pros
Good products Good technical learning Compensation is good in NCR region India Directory is good as he fights for his people from Pisa. But at the end he has less power Very stable and healthy firm
Cons
No HR. There is no proper policy for people growth. The technical people have become managers and there only focus is products and deliveries. So the professional growth is never in their agenda. So professional growth only depends upon manager's own view and it happens to be biased. Althoug it depends upon team to team, there are few people in their core group (e.g. market connectivity) who have a mindset of siiting late in office. They judge people on number of hours spent. And that flows from top. There are few people who sit 12-14 hours in office and expect you to do so. I have also heard that one of the person's family initially was amazed knowing that ION employees also come early from office. Another instance is that a manager had said that he is only in the office for 14 hours which has been set as an example for his team members. So it happens to be that an unnecessary pressure is always maintained But again it is team specific. There are few teams which are very good and maintain very healthy environment and stay away from this type of silliness. The crux is that it is not very employee friendly Tax saving is minimal. They don't offer anything to save taxes. PF contribution is minimal. Leaves are minimal. No WFH The director himself is very good, but problem is that he don't have much power and everything flows from Pisa.
