Pros
Only good thing is the 25% staff discount, but even that is mean considering the enormous mark ups on the prices they charge the public. It really should be 50%.
Cons
It's a very successful company because people like wearing trainers, it's that simple . But even though JD are growing at a phenomenal rate, their treatment of their own staff plummets. A truly awful company, easily the worst I have ever worked for. You'll probably do well at JD if your dad is a director or you don't mind being degraded as a human being on a daily basis, otherwise you'll regret the day you set foot over the threshold at head office. JD are so amateurish in all they do, it's a miracle they make a profit. And profit they do... well the bosses do. The staff get nothing worth having. It is truly a depressing company to work for where a majority of their full time staff are looking for new careers elsewhere. I pity the young workers whose first employer is JD, i hope they soon realise that all businesses don't treat their people like vermin. A truly oppressive atmosphere permeates throughout this company. Don't go there.
