Pros

Nice reward system, nice managers, good communication with E3 meetings nightly (usually).

Cons

Every manager wants something different. One night you are on the floor and you do something right, the next night you get yelled at for doing something wrong, whether it be by a manager or even another associate. A part time job should not be that stressful. CBT was extensive, but the REAL training needed was on the floor and I had exactly one small 4 hour shift of that, which taught me nothing because the 'experienced' employee just used me as their puppet to help fold shirts.. which I already do at home. Usually understaffed. The CBT includes a lesson on how the system works on the floor with associates... One fitting room associate, 2-3 floor associates. NOT the case. In reality, it's usually 2 floor associates who double as sales AND fitting room associates, making it nearly impossible some nights to get things done that's expected of you on the floor. Also, if you are hired as a floor associate, you will always be bugged for "Additional cashier to the mens or misses registers please" because POS can't handle a line since they are always under staffed. Pay isn't worth the work you really do. Hours aren't bad, but when you read that the weeks go from 35 hours to 10 hours, that's true. Your schedule is always changing unless you have a tight availability.. but that's retail. And if you are hired, and you are working until close (1030 or 1130) be prepared to stay at least an hour after your scheduled time with NO extra break, even if you are entitled.

Pros

managers can be friendly at times

Cons

Little to no training been working here for almost a year now there’s still something I don’t know every day. What was most difficult for me was being at registers as I was trained in two days by shadowing someone. There are so many situations and problems that will come up every day and you will learn something new! They never taught me about Kohl’s cash, how to read receipts, reprint or edit receipts. They schedule so little so when you do learn something there’s no chance of rehearsal because you come in three weeks later working at a different department.
