Pros

There are plenty of people around who are willing to help an outsider. Opportunity to learn lots of different departments and work with all different kinds of people. Management Experience. Really good benefits. Very accomodating to those having children or in berevement.

Cons

The hours can get to be pretty rough. If you're not in a long term relationship and you don't want one, the only people you ever see work at Kroger. If you don't deal well with confrontation stay away, cause customers can get pretty rowdy sometimes, especially if they can tell you're new. There is no such thing as a sick day unless you're tied to a toilet or a hospital bed.

Pros

• Generally work with fantastic people. • Work is not difficult, and time flies when busy. • My bosses collaborated with me to create a schedule that worked, as I often had other commitments. • Overall, a pleasant work experience most days. Get good at what you do and you'll do fine.

Cons

• Some of the senior management was less friendly than others - as to be expected. • Days were very volatile; some could be extremely easy, and others could be a nightmare. • Scheduling was kept rather limited; although I was able to get the hours I wanted, often times management would look to cut hours from departments whenever possible, leaving less support.
