Pros
The pay rate is higher than any other retail job. The progression system in the company is good. I started off as a simple customer assistant and in a matter of two months was promoted to Freshness & Non-Food coordinator. The teamwork is second to none and every day you have a different task to do. 3-6 weeks advanced rota.
Cons
With the high pay rate also comes working for it. It's a very fast-paced demanding job. The issue is a lot of people calling in sick most of the days so you are short-staffed but even then we finish on time depending on the team and the amount of work that has to be done. Most days you might have to stay later than your scheduled time but at nights the pay rate increases by £2 due to night premiums rate. Also, new people join but leave soon as they see the pay rate but do not know that they will have to work for it so again short-staffed.
