Pros

Employees come first at MeetEdgar. The company respects employees' intelligence and time. Regular 1:1s with leaders, lots of opportunity to grow, evolve, and try new things as long as you are providing value to the company ("value for value"). The bar for performance is set high here, which means you get to work with very smart people who are excellent at their jobs. Working remotely is an amazing perk (every single person at the company is remote), and MeetEdgar puts a lot of effort into maintaining healthy teams, keeping communication friction-free, and protecting the company culture - things that sometimes get left behind for remote workers.

Cons

The company is growing quickly, which means the organization needs to adapt just as quickly to ensure processes can keep up. This can cause communication hiccups and other unforeseen problems. That said, because the environment is so welcoming to feedback/iteration, these issues never last long.

Pros

MeetEdgar right from the get-go was clear about wanting to take care of their employees. Having come from a couple years of self-employment, I told myself I would only ever accept a new job if the company was as focused on making their employees happy as they were their customers. I really thought it was more of a pipe dream than an actuality, but I was happy to be wrong. MeetEdgar is a fantastic team of qualified people who could each be in charge of a company themselves, but work better together than the '95-96 Chicago Bulls.

Cons

While a 100% remote team is certainly more in the "pros" category than the "cons", my only con is that I would love to be in an office with the team I work with. I'm happy that we each get to be where we want (and that obviously helps with sourcing really great employees/coworkers, since our applicant pool is nationwide), but I do wish I could have more interaction with them than Slack. They're too great to not want to hang out with.
