Pros

Good brand name and great people in the back offices when communicating across the country. Pretty much a "family" environment.

Cons

Unless you're well-connected or have rich friends and families you won't make it. No one, not even marketing, has a clue about training sales force to penetrate markets. It's like slinging mud at the walls and hoping something sticks. Insurance is hard enough to sell but is especially in tough economic times. Sadly enough, recruiting has numbers to make, so it's pretty much a "churn and burn" philosophy. If you don't make it of course you're out, and probably out a lot of money as well since you'll be financing yourself to go to work.

Pros

Good support for new people managers were very helpful and always available

Cons

Micromanage every second of your time; have to put in a request to go to the bathroom and wait for someone to grant it Expect you to put exceptions to your time after your shift ends on your own time Half hour lunch by the time I brought my lunch or heated my leftovers and went to the bathroom. I barely had time to wolf it down. Unrealistic call times Systems are horrible and crashing all the time expect you to be in at least 15 minutes before your shift unpaid to set up all the programs on your computer
