Pros

Not a lot i am afraid! Backstabbing. Very weak leadership. Systems that if applied to anything compliance based would fall flat on its face! Be prepared to be fixing everything, whilst still doing your actual job, two jobs if you like.

Cons

Everyone pushed to the brink of wanting to take their own life. Workload impossible! Systems dire at the very best! Training..... so many modules that you may as well be back and uni! But not in a good way! Pointless module after module! In the middle of nowhere, not that you get the time to ever pop out! Canteen, pretty poor standard and expensive! Senior management inept at actually being leadership. Pay way way below par. Start a task, then get pulled into everything else, never returning to complete even the basics!

Pros

Good lower level scientists around you

Cons

Out of touch leadership with terrible management. Constantly changing goals in the name of “pivoting” and “moving fast” but actually just an incredible amount of waste in terms i of both money and talent. Almost cult like atmosphere. Toe the line and don’t challenge the science too much or you’re out. Easy enough to keep your head down at the sr scientist level but deeply demoralizing to see good scientists above you let go because of their good but unpopular scientific opinions. This is not a science first place And all for what? They say speed and vision will give you innovation but in my experience here it’s exactly the opposite- I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of innovation. Didn’t feel like they were doing anything that other companies weren’t also doing. Commitments to projects were too short term or too shallow or too unstable to actually push the envelope
