Pros
• NAVEX has a great culture; it tries to bring teams together and show employees they are appreciated. The company sets up events, lunches and other appreciation incentives. • There is transparent, regular communication from executive team via town hall meetings. These are available live or online. They provide the employees a state of the org which feels true as they provide good and no-so-good updates. Being honest with employee about where we stand is a good way to help employees feel a part of the company. • Also, in my experience, team directors/managers have always been approachable and exercise an open-door policy which is important.
Cons
• While communication is something many do well, it’s still something that can improve. With a variety of mergers and acquisitions, the company is still working through the logistics of aligning practices which can create confusion for some employees. This is something some people are trying hard to address but will take some time to achieve. • Medical benefits continue to be a point of dissatisfaction for employees. A high-deductible plan is a difficult change to get used to. Some employees have opted to use a plan through their spouses if that’s an option.
