Pros

Face to face interaction with customers in my position showed that many within the company do care about the customers.

Cons

Face to face interaction with senior management showed that the company does not care about their employees, especially those over 40 years old. You are well respected by upper management for your performance but when you turn 40 years old, upper management then tells you how you are a poor performer even though your work product has not suffered. This is how they get rid of those over 40. Blame the work product, put the employee on "work improvement" and then fire the employee in the end. The company now does not have to pay your growing salary and can now hire two younger workers at half price.

Pros

-For the most part, the people you work with are good people. Made real lifelong friends and mentors. -As with all large companies, there are plenty of opportunities to advance and/or move around if something isn't a good fit. -One of the rare places still offering a pention

Cons

-Office politics promote plenty of people who don't deserve it and the teams happiness is highly dependent upon who you end up reporting to -WAY too much false urgency created by bad leaders -Big company means slow moving in all the stuff you want to go fast. Often times too many cooks in the kitchen
