Pros
-Very structured and benefits &c are very good compared to others. -More professional than most companies, and many folks within the organization are committed to do the best they can. It is a good "foot in the door" for corporate life and direct reports are mostly agreeable and helpful. -The "Nationwide Brand" carries weight if you need to look elsewhere. -
Cons
-Directors & upper management see themselves as above everyone else, and immune to criticism. Musical chairs among VPs/directors can create chaos within departments as they make their "bold changes". (I'm not against change, but strongly against change for the sake of change). -Some employees (as always) are self-aggrandizing, and also maximize productivity in off-hours to present themselves as 'great' to leadership. Others who seek "work/life balance" (i.e have children) are left in the dust.
