Pros

Lots of different areas, multi faceted roles. Was able to have face time with Sr Executives and participate in large strategic projects Supported Education and Certificates Some roles had work life balance Offices are nice, WFH is offered

Cons

TCR concerns permeated all aspects of work, from the cost of lunch going up to raises, to layoffs, to community interaction NO promotion opportunity after G. Passive aggressive, mid-western political. "Nationwide Nice" Was under paid ("under band") for many years, then found out that the pay scale is drastically different than the rest of the industry.

Cons

its hard to write out cons, overall I really enjoyed my time at nationwide. However the department I was in was ran was ran by a clique IE high school drama and gags. if your in, your in.

Pros

-For the most part, the people you work with are good people. Made real lifelong friends and mentors. -As with all large companies, there are plenty of opportunities to advance and/or move around if something isn't a good fit. -One of the rare places still offering a pention

Cons

-Office politics promote plenty of people who don't deserve it and the teams happiness is highly dependent upon who you end up reporting to -WAY too much false urgency created by bad leaders -Big company means slow moving in all the stuff you want to go fast. Often times too many cooks in the kitchen
