      Good company with some major flaws - Anonymous employee Nutanix Employee Review

      Pros

      Visionary CEO who is working hard to position Nutanix as a market leader. Fun place to work if you can afford time to attend events. Great medical and dental plan. Daily lunch is catered and unlimited snacks.

      Cons

      Unlimited vacation policy is a scam. Getting any time off is pulling teeth. Management gives you major guilt trip when it comes to requesting time off. Additionally, this policy doesn’t apply towards maternity/paternity or family leave and company only subsidizes two weeks of pay. Perhaps Nutanix HR is oblivious to time off policies at other companies in the Valley. There is no bonus or 401K match program. Don’t be fooled by management over pumping Nutanix’s future stock price. Refresher of stock grants is extremely low. Make sure to negotiate hard for Salary and Equity.

We have taken your feedback on Maternity and Paternity benefits and we are currently evaluating enhancing our programs. Please vocalize your concerns regarding time off with your manager and HR business partner. They can work with you to ensure you are receiving industry standard vacation time. Manager training is rolling out this quarter and we will continue to invest in both our first level managers and senior management. Please work with your HR team to address your concerns and make Nutanix a better place for all to work at.

      Pros

      Flexible, Sincere and Fast paste

      Cons

      Onboarding new employees is mediocre as these employees are expected to be experts on non-Nutanix tools like SFDC, Tableau, Slack, and other sales tools. Fast-paste for new sale opportunities. Knowledge and key actionable solution are not readily available and shred. (Some solutions are buried in users personal file, so sometimes you will be dealing with issues that was solved a year ago but only one person is prevy to that knowledge.

      1. Free Snacks at office. 2. Friendly people around.

      Cons

      1. Some of the managers are very weak technically but they have so much power. 2. Very unheard for the amount of work being done in the company.
