Pros
I love a lot of things about working at Octopus Energy. The level of autonomy and freedom is unmatched compared to places I have worked at in the past. I'm able to truly own what I was hired to do and am given the trust to make decisions and try new things within my function, which means I'm always able to learn and challenge myself. The team is also incredible across all levels. The US team, the leadership team, the wider global team - I get to work alongside brilliant folks each day who are all excited by the innovative work we're doing in an outdated industry. There's also a lot of flexibility and work/life balance, which is a huge value of mine. I dont feel like people are counting hours or counting holidays and are more focused on outcomes, which I truly, TRULY appreciate. Really excited to see where we are in another 5 years :)
Cons
Things move very quickly and it sometimes feels like the only constant is change. I dont think its a bad thing, we're doing a lot and moving fast, but it isn't for everybody.
