Hi there, Thanks for giving your feedback, we really appreciate you taking the time to do this. I'm glad to hear there were lots of positives about your time with us and that you enjoyed our culture and how we take care of our people. For me this ties into the 'no specific HR department' so I wanted to relate the two aspects. We don't have a specific HR department, you are correct. We do have a team of 'peopleops' specialists who can advise us on HR matters but really we like our leadership team to look after these matters as they are the people who know their teams best and should be able to make good decisions that are in the best interests of their people without having to follow rigid rules or policies. We do run regular incentives across our operations teams where we expect people to commit some additional time to their teams, but they are rewarded with an incentive payment. We'd hope that if anyone feels their workload/role is too demanding or stressful they would feel ok about reaching out to their own leader or any other leader across the business for support. Best wishes, Lynne Higgins Head of Operations Octopus Energy

Pros

Some members of the company are the best people you’ll ever meet.

Cons

Genuinely a complete mess. Incompetent, passive aggressive leadership that repeatedly makes both poor and confusing company decisions. I have some absolutely crazy stories from things I’ve witnessed here. There’s things that are so bizarre and dysfunctional, they belong in an alternate reality.
