Pros

The coworkers are truly some of the best. The system as a whole is really great and is one of the best in the industry. The campus is nice and the parking has gotten much better. The base pay is not much worse than what I see in comparable companies, until you account for the number of job duties. The $4 lunch is pretty good when you can take it. Most direct leadership truly seems to care about their teams. The time off thats awarded is more than you could ever reasonably be approved to actually take off. The insurance for one person is actually incredible, and offers so many additional benefits. It's truly top tier.

Cons

Despite numerous attempts to try to sell the culture at the company, it has been a steady decline since 2024. The atmosphere is riddled with anxiety and everyone is quietly waiting for the next round of layoffs, even though Paycom doesn't allow the word "layoff" to be used. Noone seems to have any idea what the company's direction is, and despite all of the AI changes sold as a way to make us more efficient, the job continues to get more difficult and the hours get longer. Ever since the specialists were moved to Salary exempt there is no limit to the OT you are expected to work. With everyone afraid for their jobs its become a culture of pointing fingers and fear, and its a given that none of your conversations are actually private. You can expect to be written up if you have a negative opinion or a question about one of the daily changes that are forced through, so noone contributes out of fear. Metrics continue to change so noone can consistently stay ahead of them.

Pros

- Base salary - PTO - Awesome colleagues - $1 Medical PPO offering

Cons

- Upper leadership seem to not value the operations department as much as they do with sales. They are not consistent as well, which causes them to change the entire department's job description, expectations, & commission structure every few months. Change is good but huge change every 3-4 months is so exhausting. - They overload you with too many clients to handle while increasing the number of internal calls. When asking for support from sales or middle management, its typically a hard negotiation or non-existent. Expect to work way over 40 hours/week and juggle 10-20+ clients at a time. - Sales will oversell on product & implementation expectation which makes the job 1000% harder. Turnover with sales is extremely high so don't expect for even the best reps stay as they either leave, get fired because quota was not met, or the new manager will cut them if they're "not the vibe". You get left with the newbies who does not know how to sell or support you when you need them. - Every role in this company has high turnover in general. Making it very hard to cross collaborate with other departments as everyone is either extremely swamped or new to the role and cannot support as well, - Being forced to go to Oklahoma for training every year, sometimes twice a year.
