Pros

Great customer loyalty, discounted items always helpful, support among most store level employees, flexibility on scheduling if you're a good worker, room for movement in different departments. I worked in front end, stock and pet care and most people were very willing to help you learn.

Cons

Low pay, insufficient employee reviews, turnover of management a lil too fast, having to work beyond schedule limitations sometimes (ex. you let them know you can't work past three and you're scheduled to four). I worked 39 hours a week so I couldn't be considered full-time and get good benefits. A person who worked for a month received a promotion over me (was there for year and half) cause of favorites with one manager. Very unfortunate. She made many mistakes in her new position.

15% off whole store 50% proprietary brands Petting animals Friendly customers Almost never declines requested days off

Cons

Must have min one weekend day available No room for growth very hard to become full time Must make requests a month in advance even thought the schedule come out Thurs/fri for the following week, shifts can be unpredictable Coworkers with seniority have “better” shifts Scrubbing tanks may have you armpit deep They say everyone is equal and gets paid the same but not everyone put in the same effort, ex: some people don’t do pet care at all or never close or never work truck days
