Very unprofessional bordering on boiler room practices - Developer Progressive Recruitment Employee Review

Pros

None that I can honestly think of aside from the client list the somehow maintain besides clearly stiffing contractors every chance they get

Cons

Very unprofessional and shady business ethics, a nightmare to deal with, refuse to use any other form of communication other than rushed phone calls. I was pressured to accept their offer, which the client hadn't even made yet, even though I had a competing offer on the table. Take the biggest commission on contracts of an recruitment agency I've ever worked with, as an example the contract they had with the client was charged at £420 a day with the contractor getting £320, that's roughly 25% commission which is 10% over industry standard(which in many opinion in the IT contracting sector is still far to high for companies that essentially do zero work). When confronted about the frankly huge margins they simply denied it and I was told I was being greedy by blowing the whistle on their unacceptable practices.

Pros

Wfh Fridays and good benefits but that’s it

Cons

Be aware. Unless you’re living with your parents do not work here. Managers are snakes and will still deals from you. It’s impossible to get ahead here due to people stealing your deals or having people come off your book before you get to the 5k mark. The competition here is ridiculous. Very few other staffing agencies work like this. Please go somewhere else if you pay your own bills and are trying to make it independently like myself. They will lie to you and tell you you will get ahead within a year. False, maybe 5 years.
